Thank you for signing up for the 2022 HPMC Member-Member Tournament. We are looking forward to a great event!

Friday, August 26

PRACTICE ROUND- Friday is practice round day. Tee times have been reserved from 11 am to 3 pm specifically for the Member Member Practice Round. You must call the golf shop if you want a time.  Of course, we will have a competition for the practice round. Let’s face it, it’s Harbour Pointe. The competition is a 2 Man Best Ball with all the usual side games.

TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN- Friday is also the day you will officially check in for the event. If you are unable to make it on Friday don’t fret, you will be able to check in on Saturday morning. Three things of importance will be done at check in:

1) You will be given your match schedule for rounds 1 thru 5 along with your GGIDs for all of your matches. All matches will go off in tee times off of the 1st and 10th tees so obviously you will have a specified tee time for each of these matches.

2) You will be given a schedule of events. We will have the usual events such as the putting contest, Calcutta, breakfasts, lunches, etc. This schedule will let you know what to expect and when and where that will happen.

3) You will pay for the weekend side games. $60 cash will be due from each player to be “all in” for the following side games for the weekend: Friday’s Practice Round, Share the Love Pot, and Saturday/Sunday Daily Pointe Honey Pot.

Now that you’re all checked in go play your practice round. Have fun and play well.

FRIDAY DINNER- You will be given a ticket at check in for Brats with Chips and a Diamond Knot Blonde that will be available on the back patio for all of you that are playing in the tournament. This is included in your entry. Tips and any extras, however, are not. He will be set up from 3:00 to 8:00 so make sure you don’t miss out. We suggest grabbing a brat at the turn if you are one of the later tee times.

PUTTING CONTEST- Qualifying for the putting contest will open at 4:00 pm and close at 9:30 pm and will take place on the satellite putting green adjacent to the back patio. Just as in years past, it will be 2-Man Alternate Putt through the 4 hole course. The 7 teams with the lowest qualifying scores will qualify for the Putting Contest Finals on Saturday at 8pm. There will also be ample time to qualify on Saturday. Qualifying entry is $10 per try and you can attempt to qualify as many times as you like (as long as you pay your $10 each time, of course).

TEQUILA, SCOTCH, BOURBON & CIGAR BAR- Special thanks to Mark McCalmon, Aaron Winsor and Al Gonzales for going above and beyond to sponsor this great new addition to the tournament that we can only hope becomes a year after year tradition. Have yourself a shot of some of the finest tequila, scotch or bourbon and have a cigar! Just be sure you let Mark, Aaron and Al know how much you appreciate their generosity. The bar will be open from 6:00 to 9:30.

CALCUTTA- The silent auction for the Calcutta will open at 3 pm. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Calcutta, the way it works is simple. You have the opportunity to bet on, or essentially “buy”, any team you like (including your own). Betting is done in the form of a silent auction with bids starting at $40 and working up in increments of $40. The person with the highest bid amount for that team will “own” that team. All the monies collected from the Calcutta bids will be paid out to the “owners” of those teams that finished in the overall top 10 of the Final 9. It is imperative that you at least put a minimum bid on your team of $40 prior to the close of the silent auction if you want the opportunity to “Buy Back” half your team from whomever bought your team. Pigeon sheets and Flight lists will be available to all. We will also have an option to buy the “Field”. All the teams that did not receive any bids will be placed into a group called the “Field”. The person with the winning bid on the “Field” will own all the teams in this group. The silent auction will close at 8:15 pm. All bids must be paid in full via cash on Saturday morning prior to teeing off for Round 1. This can be done on the driving range.

HALL OF FAME INDUCTION- Please make sure that you make a point to be on the back patio at 7:45 pm for a very special induction of one of your fellow members into the Harbour Pointe Men’s Club Hall of Fame. This is one that you won’t want to miss.

LIVE MUSIC ON THE PATIO- Friday night will also include a live band playing all your favorite rock hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. They will go on at 6:30pm and wrap up their set at 9pm.

Saturday, August 22

TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN- For those of you that were not able to check-in on Friday, you must visit the golf shop and officially check-in before your First Round Match. $40 cash for the side games will be due at this time.

TITLEIST/FOOTJOY TEAM SHOP- As a part of your entry, you will receive a $100 credit to use at the Titleist/FootJoy Team Shop. This is not a $100 credit in the golf shop, it must be used in the team shop. This is a “use it or lose it” credit. The store will be open at 6:30am on Saturday and close at 11:00am and will be located in the Club Room adjacent to the Men’s restroom in the main clubhouse. It is imperative that you get into the Club Room by 11:00am on Saturday to or you will be left holding an empty bag.

CALCUTTA PAYMENTS- Calcutta payments will be due on Saturday morning. You must pay in full (cash only) for any team that you bought on Friday night. The payment center will be located on the driving range and will be open from 6:30 am to 9:00 am. Don’t make us hunt you down. This is also your opportunity to buy half of your team if you didn’t place the winning bid. If you placed any bid at all on your team (regardless if it wasn’t the winning bid), you are allowed to buy half your team from the person that placed the winning bid. Deadline to make this intention known is 9:00 am.

ROUND 1- Tee times for the first round matches will take place between 7:30 am and 9:36 am. It is imperative that you are on time for your tee time. This will only run as well as you, the players dictate. Don’t be late to your tee time is a pretty easy directive to follow. Just as easy is knowing what tee you’re starting on. We will be having 1st and 10th tee starts, so make sure you show up on the right tee box.

PUTTING CONTEST QUALIFYING CONTINUED- Putting qualifying will open up Saturday at 9:30 am. A great idea would be to attempt to qualify whenever you can. Before your first round, between your 1st and 2nd round, between your 2nd and 3rd round. After your 3rd round. Lots of options here. Qualifying closes at 8pm, after which a Putt-Off to break any ties for the 7th and final spot will take place, followed immediately by the Putting Contest Finals.

ROUND 2- Second round matches are scheduled between 10:30 and 12:36. You should have plenty of time to get done with your first round match and take care of whatever you need to take care of before your tee time for the second round match. Again, don’t be late for your tee time.

SATURDAY LUNCH- A build your own sandwich bar will be set up on the back patio between 11:30 and 3:00. You can grab your lunch anytime within this timeframe.

ROUND 3- Third round matches are scheduled between 1:30 and 3:36. You should have plenty of time to get done with your second round match and take care of whatever you need to take care of before your tee time for the third round match. Again, don’t be late for your tee time.

PUTTING CONTEST QUALIFTYING AND FINALS- Putting qualifying will close at 8:00. The finals will begin at this time with the top 7 teams making it into the finals. Should there be a tie for the 7th spot a “putt-off” will be held immediately prior to the start of the finals.

This will only run as well as you, the players dictate. Don’t be late to your tee time is a pretty easy directive to follow. Just as easy is knowing what tee you’re starting on. We will be having 1st and 10th tee starts, so make sure you show up on the right tee box.

ROUND 5- Fifth and final round matches are scheduled between 10:15 and 12:21. You should have plenty of time to get done with your fourth round match and take care of whatever you need to take care of before your tee time for the third round match. Again, don’t be late for your tee time.

SUNDAY LUNCH- BBQ Ribs with all the fixins will be served immediately following your second round. Enjoy!

PARAMUTUEL BETTING- Place your bets on which teams you think will finish in the top 3 of the Final 9. The betting table will open at 2:30pm and close at 3:30pm. You can place a “Win, Place or Show” bet on any team playing in the Final 9.

FINAL 9- The top two teams from each flight will qualify for the Final 9. Format of the Final 9 is 2-Man Net Best Ball. Players will receive 90% of their playing handicap in the finals. Tee times will begin at 3:33pm. Teams that qualify for the Final 9 will receive a text message informing them of their exact tee time and pairing group. All teams will start on hole #8 for the finals.

CROWNING OF CHAMPIONS- Since we are starting the Final 9 on hole #8 it only makes sense that we would finish on hole #7. Spectators will be allowed to go out to hole #7 no earlier than 5:30. We don’t want to impose on those groups that are playing holes 8 and 9, so please be courteous and abide by this rule. Spectators may follow any group they want on holes 1 thru 7 once they make the turn onto hole 1. If two or more teams are tied at the conclusion of the Final 9 a playoff on hole 7 will be used to determine the winner. Once we have a winner the trophy presentation will take place on the tee box of hole 7.
